In late 2020, ShopDisney hosted a creative contest inviting fans to decorate gingerbread creations based on weekly Disney themes. Participants submitted their designs on social media using #shopDisneyContest and #shopDisneyGingerbread, with winners receiving themed gift baskets filled with Disney merchandise. Themes ranged from Star Wars to National Geographic, encouraging fans to get imaginative.
Since I’m not a baker, I took a different approach—using my graphic design skills to create a digital entry. I designed a photoshopped gingerbread character parodying The Mandalorian, which I titled “The Gingerlorian.” My playful digital twist on the theme stood out, and I was selected as a winner of the Star Wars–themed gift basket.
This project showcases my ability to adapt creatively, blending pop culture, humor, and design skills to create something memorable and engaging—even in a space traditionally outside of digital media.
